Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are part of the Help U Store It Order Process and Customer Contract to which all three are collectively, the “Agreement”. In this Agreement, Help U Store It, LLC is referred to as “HUSI” or the “Company”, and the customer is referred to as “you” or the “Customer”. This Agreement is between you and Help U Store It regarding the Services you have ordered pursuant to the Agreement. The Customer acknowledges that there are no terms, conditions, warranties, guarantees, understandings or representations that are not fully set forth in this Agreement. No variation of this Agreement is binding on the Company unless agreed to in writing and signed by an authorized officer of Help U Store It. To the extent of any conflict between the terms of the Order Process and Customer Contract and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall be controlling. Help U Store It reserves the right to amend any portion of this explanation at any time. Services

Help U Store it’s services include 1) the delivery of your ordered boxes and packing materials (i.e. boxes, tape, bubble-wrap etc.) to the Customer’s on-campus or off campus residence; 2) pick up of the Customer’s belongings during the scheduled pick-up date and time at the Customer’s residence; 3) transportation of Customer’s belongings to the Help U Store It storage facility; 4) delivery of Customer’s belongings to his/her residence at the scheduled delivery date and time.

Scheduling

Dates will be available to choose from during the ordering process for 1) pickup of Customer’s belongings that will be stored with Help U Store It; 2) delivery of Customer’s belongings to his/her residence at the end of the storage period.  Empty boxes, and packing supplies will be delivered at at set date each year and will be posted within the blog section of the website.

Customer will be required to choose dates at the time of their order with the knowledge that they are free change their scheduled dates by e-mailing info@helpustoreit.com until the cut-off date (2 weeks prior to the first day of classes). At the time of the cut-off date all scheduling will be frozen and you will no longer be allowed to change your scheduled dates or location. A fee of $150 will be added to any order if changes are absolutely needed.

All dates and times are subject to change and are subject to non-availability. As orders are processed dates will be made unavailable to avoid over-crowding on particular days and times. The Customer is responsible for being available for the entire duration of their scheduled time.  If a customer is not available during their scheduled pick-up or delivery time, HUSI will leave a voicemail explaining they will wait for 30 minutes.  If after these 30 minutes the customer does not respond, HUSI will consider this an abandoned order and a new date/time must be picked. A fee of $150 will be added to any rescheduled pick-up or delivery.

Packing

The Customer acknowledges that he/she has inspected the boxes and packing materials provided to them by Help U Store It and that each is in good condition and suitable for storing his/her goods and belongings.

The Customer is responsible for packing his/her belongings properly and in a manner that is suitable for storage. Help U Store It will not be responsible for packing belongings into boxes and will not be responsible for the Customer’s negligence or willful misconduct in packing. Help U Store It is held harmless for damaged items or boxes that are packed improperly by the Customer, his/her agents or representatives. Boxes must not weigh over 50lbs, if they are over 50lbs they are subject to a 50% fee.

The Customer acknowledges that hazardous materials, explosives, firearms, flammable items, cash, high-value items, expensive jewelry, contraband, food, perishable items and liquids cannot be stored with Help U Store It.

Pick-up

The Customer understands his/her responsibility for choosing and scheduling a date and time slot that is suitable to his/her schedule. Help U Store It does not guarantee that pickup will occur at a specific time during the Customer’s chosen date and time slot. During the Customers chosen date and time slot a Help U Store It representative will arrive to pick-up the Customers boxes and belongings. At the time of pickup the Help U Store It representative will verify the Customer’s identity by asking for an acceptable form of photo identification. Only after identification has been confirmed and the “Pick-Up” portion of the Customer Contract is signed by the Customer will service continue. If a customer is not available during their scheduled pick-up or delivery time, HUSI will leave a voicemail explaining they will wait for 30 minutes.  If after these 30 minutes the customer does not respond, HUSI will consider this an abandoned order and a new date/time must be picked. A fee of $150 will be added to any rescheduled pick-up or delivery. Items will only be picked up from an individual other than the name on the order if there is written instructions sent to Help U Store It prior to the pick-up date. Pickup times are not guaranteed, all times quoted are an estimate. We do our best to arrive within a 2 hour time window of your preferred time. 

 

Storage

Personal belongings will be stored at the Help U Store It storage facility or another Help U Store It preferred storage location. The Customer’s belongings will be stored for the time between the Pick-up date and time and Delivery date and time.

The Customer acknowledges that he/she is the lawful owner of the items being stored or are otherwise authorized to execute this Agreement on behalf of the lawful owner.

All items must be packed by the customer in a fashion suitable for storage. Help U Store It is held harmless for damaged items or boxes that are packed improperly by the Customer, his/her agents or representatives.

The Customer acknowledges that hazardous materials, explosives, firearms, flammable items, cash, high-value items, expensive jewelry, contraband, food, perishable items and liquids cannot be stored with Help U Store It. Furthermore, the Customer acknowledges that the Customer is liable for any damage that the Customer’s stored items and belongings may inflict on the property of others.

Delivery

The Customer understands his/her responsibility for choosing and scheduling a date and time slot that is suitable to his schedule. Help U Store Itd oes not guarantee that delivery will occur at a specific time during the Customer’s chosen date and time slot. During the Customers chosen date and time slot a Help U Store It representative will arrive to deliver the Customers boxes and belongings. At the time of delivery the Help U Store It representative will verify the Customer’s identity by asking for an acceptable form of photo identification. Items will only be left with an individual other than the name on the order if there is written instructions sent to Help U Store It prior to the delivery date. Only after identification has been confirmed and the “Delivery” portion of the Customer Contract is signed by the Customer will the Help U Store It representative relinquish possession of items to the Customer.If a customer is not available during their scheduled pick-up or delivery time, HUSI will leave a voicemail explaining they will wait for 30 minutes.  If after these 30 minutes the customer does not respond, HUSI will consider this an abandoned order and a new date/time must be picked. A fee of $150 will be added to any rescheduled pick-up or delivery.

 

Accessing Your Boxes

In the event that certain situations occur Help U Store It may open the Customer’s boxes without providing prior notice. Specific situations include but are not limited to 1) removal of items from the Customer’s boxes that may be leaking, emitting fumes or odors or that may harm or endanger other boxes 2) security reasons 3) to repair damaged boxes 4) to comply with a Court Order or law.

If for any reason you need to access your boxes and belongings before your scheduled delivery date, you must contact Help U Store It by e-mail at info@HelpUStoreIt.com to make such request. Up to one week is necessary when processing an early retrieval request. A fee of $150 will be issued to the customer for early retrieval arrangements.

Payment

All orders must be paid in full at the time of the Ordering Process. Orders that are not paid in full will not be processed.

Payment will be processed through the trusted site PayPal Inc.

In the event that the Customer’s card cannot be authorized, the order will not be processed until the Customer’s account is paid in full.

If the Customer wishes to cancel their order, an email should be sent to info@HelpUStoreIt.com or call 855-478-7663 with his/her order information, and the Subject field “CANCEL ORDER”. The Customer acknowledges that fees for goods and services already provided will be issued to his/her account. Fees include but are not limited to: cost of boxes and materials, service fees for delivering boxes, and early retrieval fees, processing fees.

 

Insurance

The Customer acknowledges that the maximum amount of insurance coverage available is $1500 per order.

Help U Store It does not insure against: improperly packed items, excessively fragile items, minor damages such as scratches caused by normal handling, concealed damages, damage or loss of digital files, or any damage that occurs without evidence of physical damage to the exterior of the box.

Help U Store It is not responsible for loss or damage of an item that occurs before Help U Store It takes possession of such items. Such situations may include but are not limited to damage that may occur to items while inside or outside the Customer’s residence waiting for pickup. If a customer suspects there is a damaged item, any possible claim must be brought to the attention of a Help U Store It representative at the time of drop off.

Liability

Help U Store It is not responsible for any loss or damage to the Customer’s belongings, boxes or their contents unless loss or damage is caused directly by Help U Store It’s negligence and willful misconduct. The maximum liability exposed to Help U Store It is limited to and shall not exceed the fees that the Customer has paid for the Services rendered by Help U Store It and the total declared value the Customer states during the Order Process.
